Give Yourself Permission

Sometimes “looking within” and just plain “living life” can be exhausting. Doesn’t make it any less gratifying though.

Still exhausting.

So today, I give myself permission to take a break. I have lots of work to do and so much going on (don’t we all?), but I give myself permission to chill. Using that time to do things that soothe my soul, like some extra meditation and prayer. A bit more stretching during yoga. A gentle switch to my editorial calendar. That ought to cover me. In the end, I know I will be better off because of it.

I challenge you to do the same. Meditate in your happy place. Give yourself permission. However that may look for you. Give yourself permission!

Like it says in Psalm 46:10, “Be still and know that I am God,” which is the ultimate verse for me when I find myself over-extended. It tells me to tap into that quiet space where Spirit comes through and I can gather my senses.
