As I sit to write this blog post, I just unpacked from a sweet leisurely weekend with friends and have to begin to pack for a business trip to Detroit.
If you’d have told me twenty years ago that this would be my life, I would have laughed in your face.
After all, I was running my own cleaning business back then. My writing consisted of doing the many emails of an involved Mom with a son in the local rec sports program asking for donations or doing some sort of fundraiser.
I never imagined being published. I barely dreamed of writing articles and books (and I was a reader and writer my whole entire life- since a young age I journaled and wrote poetry).
I had a two year degree from the local community college, and as they say, that and a dollar could buy me a cup of coffee. *They probably don’t say that anymore since coffee can be an expensive habit, but you get my point.
It wasn’t until I went back to college for my second act at the age of 34 that God put this dream in my heart.
Has it been all roses? Oh, hell no. Not even close!
But it took me to where I am now. God is so good. I am holding steady to this dream. Things are happening.
I want you to do the same. God’s favor is not just for a limited time only, but always. He is working in your life, whether you know it or not. Believe it or not!
Maybe the dream isn’t there yet, but it will come. Maybe the right people are not in your life, they will get there. Hold steady! Hold steady.
